Born February 26, 1916, in Pima, Arizona, to Edward Christian and Emma Romney Eyring. The daughter of pioneers who "was equally capable with a saddle horse and a piano forte." Sister: Genevieve Layton.

Married J. Golden Taylor on September 22, 1936, in Mesa, Arizona. Children: Janis Lyon, Stephen, Susan, Emily Jordan, John Q.E., Jeffrey, Miriam Hoff.

Earned Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. and a Master's from Utah State.

Had life-long interest in literature, music, philosophy and politics.

Enjoyed family reunions, visits from friends, a European tour with daughter Emily and Emily's husband Jim, and her seven children, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
