She was born on May 12, 1919 in Miami County to Frank and Alice (Davis) Weishaar, and married C. Richard Blaising on May 17, 1940 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1989.
Blaising worked as a homemaker and was a member of St. John of the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Wayne for 55 years. She resided in Fort Wayne prior to her moving to Bluffton in 2000.
She is survived by son, Thomas R. Blaising and wife Janice, Kalamazoo, Michigan; two daughters, Mary Beth Conville, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sue Dian and husband Don, Bluffton; two sisters, Jane Kindig, Deedsville, and Jean Harvey and husband John, Chili; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Aside from her husband, Blaising was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Weishaar.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bluffton, with Father Dale Bauman officiating.
Burial will be at Paw Paw Cemetery, Miami County.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt and Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington Street, Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to the Wells County Alzheimer's Support Group.
