Clark O. Durst, 84,of Somerset, died May 25, 2014 in Johnstown. Born July 27, 1929, in Somerset , he is the son of the late Milton John and Cora Elizabeth (Miller) Durst. Also preceded in death by his wife Nancy Joan (Peters) Durst, a son Bradley Durst, sisters: Alice Houpt, Bessie Beam and Louise Spangler. Brothers: Frank, Lee, George, Abe, John and Bill Durst. Survived by children: Thomas James Durst and wife Jody of Somerset, Brenna Leasock of Somerset and Randy Durst and wife Linda of Acosta. Grandchildren: Bradley James , Zeb, Samantha and Makala Durst, Brooke and Brittany Durst, Robert Leasock Jr. and wife Rebecca , Tara and Eddie Leasock. 7 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren . Also survived by a brother, Henry Durst of Mass. and a longtime companion, Shirley Bittner. Clark was a member of the First Christian Church, the FOE Aire # 1801, VFW, American Legion, New Baltimore Sportsman Club, Jenner Rod & Gun Club, the Confluence Fish & Game and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator for Firestone Equipment and after his retirement, he worked at Lake Road Repairs. Friends received from2-4 & 6-8 Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 AM Friday with Reverend John J. Barchey Jr. officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1117 Coutrty Club Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011.
