William J. (Bill) Bryan, lifelong Bryans Corner community farmer, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his home here in Guymon.

William Jennings Bryan was born on May 28, 1927 to Eula K. (Watson) and Edgar Marvin Bryan on the family farm near Bryan's Corner in Beaver County, Oklahoma. Bill graduated from Bethany Consolidated High School in 1945. He then served in the United States Navy, serving four years in the Pacific Theater. Bill was a lifelong farmer and a rural mail carrier. After retirement, he moved to Guymon in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Martha D. Bryan Gardner, Bessie Farrel, Alice Morgan, Ella Bryan and Della Bryan; two brothers, Elmo W. Bryan and Rueben M. (Jack) Bryan; and infant twins, Jeff and Lou Bryan.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews and their families; Betty and Bill Triplett of Canyon, TX: Jack and Joan Bryan of Duncanville, TX; David R. and Mary Lou Bryan of Ponca City, OK; Pat M. and Connie Bryan of Edmond, OK; Marvin and Zipra Morgan of Austin, TX; and longtime friend, Mary Janzen of Perryton, TX.

Memorial services in Guymon will be Friday, June 13th, 11:00 AM at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth Street, Guymon. Graveside services will be Friday afternoon, 2:00 PM at the Bethany Cemetery in the Bryans Corner community.
