Charley Alexander Beck, 73, of Kissee Mills, MO
Charley Beck passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1940 at Alhambra, IL., the son of Harley and Louise (Chase) Beck. Charley was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Carol Hurley on Feb. 29, 1964 at Lincoln, IL. He moved to Taney County in 1983, he was a member of the American Legion, and a Building Inspector for Taney County. Charley was a member of the Central Taney County Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for two years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Beck of Kissee Mills, MO.; daughters, Teresa Milner of Kirbyville, MO., Tamara Cox of Forsyth, MO., and Christina Beck of Lincoln, IL; seven grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jane Doolin of Atlanta, IL.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Art Beck, Jack Beck, Doris Gresham, Alberta Beck, James Beck, Madonna York, Clara Mae Hayter, and Harley Beck.
Funeral Services will be held at the Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel on Wed., May 21 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be Snapp Cemetery in Forsyth, MO. Visitation will be on Tues. May 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Central Taney County Fire Fighters Assoc., 8118 E. Hwy 76, Kirbyville, MO 65679.
