Gladys Sloan Daughety, 84, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, in Glen Rose. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Sunday in Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow. Mrs. Daughety was born Jan. 31, 1930, to Loyal Elmer and Gladys Richey Sloan in Fort Worth. She was a member of Alsbury Baptist Church in Burleson. She had been a resident of Glen Rose for 20 years and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and doing yard work. Mrs. Daughety graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, L.E. Sloan. Survivors: Husband, Ernie Daughety; daughters, Colleen Daughety, Patty Snodgrass and husband, Kelley, and Sharon Williams, all of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Sloan and Wade, Kas, Dakotah and Caleb; great-grandchild, Dixie; sister-in-law, Barbara Sloan; and several nieces and nephews.
