Donald G. Brenneman, 82, of York Township, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Cora E. (Sweigart) Brenneman. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2013.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Pastor Richard E. Godfrey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
Mr. Brenneman was born in York, on February 4, 1932, the son of the late Clarence and Ada (Crone) Brenneman.
He worked for 50 years at Atlas Manufacturing Company in York and retired as a partner at FABBCO Steel Company in Red Lion. Mr. Brenneman was a member of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren in York, and was a 1950 graduate of William Penn Senior High. Mr. Brenneman leaves a son, Donald L. Brenneman and his wife, Elaine of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Lee and Erica Brenneman; a great-grandson, Camden Brenneman; a brother, Earl Brenneman; and a sister,
Amy Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 50 E. King St., York, PA 17401; or York Rescue Mission, 367 W. Market St., York, PA 17401.
