Francis A. "Slim" Carbaugh Jr., of Spring Grove, entered into eternal rest January 8 in Hanover.

Born in Oxford Township, he was a son of the late Francis A. Sr. and Mary A. Glass Carbaugh.

Mr. Carbaugh was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, until May 2005 when he joined the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Abbottstown. He was also a member of the Marion Oxfordites in New Oxford and AARP.

He was the husband of Mary C. Menchyk Carbaugh and surviving, in addition to her, are four daughters, Dorothy M. Wolford of Spring Grove, Katie B. McMaster of New Oxford, Susanna R. Beatty of Mesa, AZ, and Mary F. Carbaugh of Hanover; one son, Demetrius C. Carbaugh of Gettysburg; and six grandchildren.
