Kenneth Eugene (Gene) Brown of Munday, TX passed away on May 5, 2014 in Knox City, TX.
Gene was born May 13, 1930 in Knox County, TX to Crockett and Zerna Brown.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Munday, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, and traveled on many missionary trips. He was a volunteer fire fighter and an EMT as well as retired from the highway department.
He was married Oct 22, 1949 to Dorothy Cypert in Rochester, TX.
Survived by his wife Dorothy, of Munday, TX; one son, Danny and wife Sherri Brown of Wichita Falls, TX; two daughters, Judy and husband Donnie Voss of Burleson, TX; Cindy and Hal Guess of Weinert, TX; daughter-in-law, Missy Brown of Scotland, TX; brother John Brown of Wichita Falls, TX; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by one son, Mark Brown, and two grandchildren, Angel and Moriah Brown; brothers, Frank Brown and Bill Brown; and sisters, Lena Owen, Louise Hamilton, and Helen Clemmer.
Services Thursday, May 8 at the First Baptist Church in Munday, TX with Donnie Voss officiating.
Interment Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
