Eliza's mother had been married the 1st time to a John Drinnon, in Hawkins County, Tennessee, on 28 March, 1878, by William Davis, J.P. After John Drinnon's death about early to mid 1879, she remarried to Rufus Lawson, Sr., on 16 September, 1882, in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
Eliza Jane Lawson married George Washington Templeton in Hawkins County, Tennessee, on 14 October, 1915, per the old Lawson family bible entry. George was the son of Walter C.A. "Ap or Ab" Templeton and Dorcus Mary Trent. George first married Laura D. Johnson ca 1911, in Lee County, Virginia, "or" Hawkins County, Tennessee. We do not know which of the two at this time...Laura died 25 September, 1913, in Tennessee, and George remarried 2nd wife, Eliza Jane Lawson, at that time. George and Eliza had these children:
