Survivors include his wife, Anna; his mother, Alicia Ades of Palo; three sons, George and Joseph, both of Cedar Rapids, and James of Palo; and three daughters, Karen Brown, Judy Montague and Anna Marie Harder, all of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Lester.
George was born Feb. 27, 1913, in Belle Plaine to Joseph and Alicia Everts Frondle. He married Anna Ashbacher on June 30, 1966, in Iowa City. He worked in shipping at Century Engineering for 30 years, retiring March 10, 1975. He was an Army veteran.
A memorial fund has been established.
