Chester J. Frondle, 80, of Clinton, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday morning in Samaritan North Hospital, Clinton. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery .
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; two sons, William of Cedar Rapids and Robert of Main Amana; a daughter, Wilma of Marion; his mother, Alicia of Palo; and a brother, George of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two daughters, Ann and Alice.
Born Dec. 17, 1911, in Belle Plaine to Joseph and Alicia Everetts Frondle, he married Pauline Dale on July 12, 1953. He was a welding inspector for 40 years at Harnischfeger Corp., retiring in 1971.
The Rev. Rex Barber will officiate. A memorial fund has been established.
