"The body of Lizzie Kohl, a Marshfield girl, who has been in charge of the Kinnickinnic store of C. S. Holt for the past five years, was found on the lake shore a mile south of St. Francis early yesterday morning. The body was found by George C. Campbell, who was out hunting, and when discovered had been in the water but a few hours. It was at first thought that the girl had jumped from a steamer and washed ashore. Last night it was found that she had left her room at about 4 o'clock yesterday morning and is supposed to have committed suicide."
The body of Lizzie Kohl arrived from Milwaukee on Tuesday evening, accompanied by George Clark, the young man whom she was engaged to marry next month. The funeral will be held this afternoon from the residence, services to be conducted by Rev. F. L. Nehs.
The deceased was 29 years of age and worked for her last employer five years. He speaks in the highest terms of her. The Kohl family of which she was a member consists of Mrs. Katie Kohl, seven sons and one daughter.
