Richfield, Nov. 2 — Last rites were held Sunday afternoon for John Kohl, a former resident of the town of Rock, who died Thursday at Hot Springs, Ark, of a stomach ailment.
The Rev. C. A. Kipps, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church of Marshfield officiated at the services which were held from the Baer-Lange-Rembs funeral home and also at the rites at the Nasonville cemetery.
Mr. Kohl who was unmarried was a native of Washington county and had reached the age of 54 years. As an infant he came with his parents to the town of Rock and lived with them on what is now known as the Joe Wartner farm. For the last three years he has been in the garage business at Hot Springs.
Pallbearers were: Philip, Walter and Paul Kohl; Ed and Edwin Dix and Edwin Ott.
Mr. Kohl is survived by six brothers and one sister: Mrs. Laura Rogers, Shelby, Mich., George Kohl, Richfield, Peter Kohl, Lindsey, Paul, Theodore, and William Kohl of Wausau, and Henry Kohl of Ledgerwood, N. D.
Those from away attending the rites included: Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kohl, Mr. and Mrs. William Kohl and Theodore Kohl and son Jesse of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Endlich, Allenton; Adam and Henry Kohl of Kohlsville; and Mr. and Mrs. August Maik and daughter Anita of Stetsonville.
