Son of John & Fannie Knight from Effingham County, they moved to Wayne County about 1807-08 and he married at Hazzard's Neck in Camden County on January 17, 1810 to Sarah H. Tucker ... Abraham was in the War of 1812 serving under Capt. John Bachlott in the Georgia Militia on the St. Mary's River where he was in an engagement during the war, when several British barges were captured. He also participated in the Indian War served under Capt. E.D. Tracy in the Camden County Militia in 1838.... Justice of the Peace in the 33rd district in Camden County, 1818-1821 and in Wayne County 1829-1833 in the 333rd district... Sarah made her application on June 16,1875, for a pension based on her husband's War of 1812 services.... They both were buried at Little Creek Church....
