April 15, 1913-June 13, 2002 Genevieve Margaret Boothe 89, died of natural causes at Hy-lond Convalescent Hospital in Merced. Genevieve was a native of Havre, Montana, grew up in Oakland, and lived in Merced for almost 50 years. She was devoted to her husband, Thomas James Boothe, who preceded her in death, and lovingly raised 4 children, James Louis Boothe, who also preceded her in death, Norene Borba of Merced, Sharon Grunloh of Turlock, and Barbara Stephens, of Merced. Her greatest joy was being with her family, cooking for them and celebrating every birthday and holiday with them. She loved Aaron Borba, Zeb Grunloh, Sunny Grunloh, and Justin Stephens, as well as her great granddaughter, Renee Richmond. Others who survive her are her brother, Harry Boyle, sisters-in-law, Alice and Olga Boyle, nephews, Leslie, Walter, Stephen, Tom, and Jim Boyle, niece Marlena Klopp, and sons-in-law Clarence Borba, Bob Grunloh and Randy Stephens and her granddaughter-in-law Carol Roginski Borba. Genevieve was a faithful member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a treasurer for many years. She worked with Church Women United and St. Anne's Guild, and was a dedicated organizer of many "Grandma's Pantry" events for the church. She was a 4-H leader for the Weaver 4-H Club years ago. Private Graveside services were held at Mtn. View Cemetery in Oakland on Friday, June 21, 2002. Remembrances may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church of the charity of choice in lieu of flowers at 350 W. Yosemite Ave. Merced, Ca. 95348
