Technical Sergeant Harry Thomas Boyle served with the U.S. Army, 96th Division, where he fought in the final conflict of WWII -- the battle of Okinawa. For his service to country the following medals were awarded: Two Overseas Service Bars, Combat Infantry Badge, Presidential Citation (w/bronze oak leaf cluster), Bronze Star (BMS), Purple Heart, Good Conduct medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal (w/bronze star device), and WWII Victory medal. He had enlisted at the age of 18 on August 24, 1944, and served until August 24, 1946. He married Alice Ann Jennings in Oakland California on September 4, 1949. She died in January, 2006.
