He was the husband of Diane L. (Miller) m. 8 January 1966 in Hagerstown, Maryland and the son of Helen E (Black) Harne of Waynesboro and the late Marvel N. "Barney" Harne. He was a life long resident of Waynesboro. He was graduated with the 1964 class of Waynesboro High School. Mr. Harne completed an apprenticeship at Landis Machine Company, where he was employed for three years before his 40 years of employment with Pangborn Corporation, Hagerstown, MD, where he worked as a mechanical engineer before retiring in August 2007. He was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #731, Waynesboro, Eagles Club Inc., Waynesboro, N.R.A., and Waynesboro Fish and Game where he previously served on the board of directors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting in West Virginia, Nebraska and his Pennsylvania cabin. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons: Eric T. Harne, Waynesboro, Craig A. Harne, Waynesboro; and a granddaughter, Jenna M. Harne.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Dennis Harne.
