Nona Pearl Aydelott 1927 ~ 2014

Nona Pearl Aydelott was born on December 2, 1927 and passed away on April 14, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., at the Faith Bible Baptist Church in Yuma. Interment will follow in the Yuma Cemetery. Memorials are preferred. Baucke Funeral Home of Yuma, is in charge of arrangements.

Nona P. Aydelott, age 86, of Yuma, Colorado passed away on April 14, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Nona was born December 2, 1927 in Fleming, Colorado to Henry and Emma (Casteel) Curtis.

On December 24, 1943 she married Andrew Lester Aydelott in St. Francis, Kansas. To this union five children were born, Ronald, Sharrie, Kathy, Terry and Stanley. Nona and Andrew were blessed with 62 years together before Lester passed away on July 3, 2006. Through Nona's life she worked at many restaurants in the Yuma area. She was well known for her pies and her favorite pie was strawberry. She retired from Woody's at the age of 84. She was a member of the Faith Bible Baptist Church. She will be remembered for always being ready and willing to help in any way she possibly could no matter what the situation was. She always had a smile on her face even through the toughest of times.
Nona was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Curtis; her husband, Lester; daughter, Sharrie; son-in-law, Ronald Petersen; and eight of her nine siblings, Jessie, Albert, Marion, Lois, Viola, Kenneth, Hazel and Helen.
She is survived by daughter, Kathy Petersen of Yuma, Colorado; Ron Aydelott of Otis, Colorado; Terry Aydelott of Haxtun, Colorado and Stan Aydelott of Yuma, Colorado; one sister, Jean Hansen and husband, LaVern of Otis, Colorado; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and two step great, great grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service was conducted on April 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Don Barnes officiating. Interment followed at the Yuma Cemetery. Services were directed by Baucke Funeral Home.
