Delores Jean (Curtis) Hansen was born on Aug. 23, 1929 to Henry Forrest And Emma (Casteel) Curtis in Sterling, Colo. She passed away on Sept. 3, 2017 at the Yuma Life Care Center in Yuma, Colo. at the age of 88.

Jean attended school through the eighth grade. She married LaVern Hansen on April 30, 1956 in Wray, Colo. and to this union four children were born, Rick, Susan, Annie and Fred.

Jean was a hard worker and held several different employments. She was a cook at the Lone Star School, Housekeeper for Keno's Motel, Cooked at the Popcorn Shack, Murph's Restaurant, the Shop All Deli and Woody's Drive Inn; along with working in the produce section at Shop-All and caring for the elderly.

Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and a wonderful pie maker.

Jean was preceded in death by her Father, Henry Curtis and mother, Emma Curtis; in-laws, Alfred and Jennie Hansen; siblings, Jessie, Viola, Albert, Kenneth, Helen, Marion, Nona, Lois and Hazel and several In-laws, nieces and nephews.

Jean will be greatly missed by her husband of sixty-one years, LaVern Hansen; son, Rick Hansen and wife, Julie of Cope, Colo.; Mason and wife, Kelly; Caleb and Lucas of Akron; Carmen and Bri Hansen-Friedman and Shiloh. Daughter, Susan Ehrman and husband, Eric of Platner, Colo.; Chelsy Hansen of LaSalle, Colo. and Eklin and Elliott Ehrman of Platner, Colo. Daughter, Annie Reed and husband, Jeff of Mooreland, Okla.; Brendyn of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Desiree of Seattle, Wash.; Jake of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Sheree and Samuel both of Moorland, Okla.. Son, Fred Hansen and wife, Amy of Yuma; Quentin and Melissa and baby Ayden of Loveland, Colo.; Amber and Danny and Sophia of Wrightwood, Calif.; Marina of Golden, Colo. and Taylor of Yuma; along with several in-laws, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church in Yuma with CRE Randall Feather of the Otis Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Yuma Cemetery. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.--Baucke Funeral Home
