Vera was the daughter of Frank and Helen (Mortimer) Westerman. She lived in Falls County most of her life. She married Lonnie C. Hamrick on April 27, 1938. She was a den mother for the cub scouts, a homemaker, and a member of Trinity Memorial Baptist Church in Marlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb 1, 1987.
She is survived by sons, Lonnie F. Hamrick of Houston, Ivan Hamrick of Waco and James Hamrick of Splendora; daughter, Louise Owens of Marlin; sisters, June Freeman of Raleigh, N.C. and Lucille Smart of Charlotte, S.C.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
