Ivan Wayne Hamrick, 72, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in West. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home.

Ivan was born in Cedar Springs, Texas, to the late Lonnie and Vera Hamrick. He graduated from Milby High School in Houston and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1959. He married Shirley Phelps on April 6, 1979. He was a member of the Baylor Lodge 1235, and a 32nd Degree Mason. Ivan was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed watching football, especially the Houston Texans and Texas Longhorns, and visiting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carroll Owens.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Shirley; daughter, Connie Cason; brothers, Lonnie and wife, Suzanne, and James and wife, Donna; and numerous extended family members.
