She was the granddaughter of Frederick Clark/Laura Shoales Wales and George/Catherine Walker Farrar, and the oldest child of John Walker/Adaresta Wales Farrar. She had three siblings: Laura Farrar Davis, Harrison Arthur Farrar, and William Leo Farrar. Hilah & Fred Madouse were married November 11, 1906 in McHenry Co., IL. They had twin daughters named Dora Marie and Doris Leona, and had a son named Arthur, who died when he was twenty-one. She also died fairly young at age 47.
