She was the granddaughter of Frederick Clark/Laura Shoales Wales and George/Catherine Walker Farrar, and the second child of John Walker/Adaresta Wales Farrar. She had three siblings: Hilah Farrar Madouse, Harrison Arthur Farrar, and William Leo Farrar. She married Everett Grant Davis and they were the parents of one daughter, Laura "Birdie" Davis Pine. They were also the grandparents of three grandchildren: Shirley DeGroot, David Pine, and James Pine.
