Funeral service for Mrs. Hilda Nave, 83,
of 24 1/2 South Division Street, Grand
Rapids, former Ionia resident, who died
Saturday morning at Sunshine Hospital,
will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Myers
Funeral Home. The Rev. John W. Tennyson
of First Baptist Church will officiate
and interment will be in Tuttle Cemetery.
Mrs. Nave was born Oct. 16, 1881 in
Orange township and lived in Ionia
except for the past eight years which
she spent in Grand Rapids. Her husband,
Frank, preceded her in death in 1940.
Mrs. Nave was ill for two weeks prior
to her death.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs.
Dorothy Lambert of Grand Rapids, six
and eight great-grandchildren.

Hilda was married twice:
(1) On Feb. 24, 1909 she married
Samuel White (Apr.6,1853-Oct.29,1914)
and they had a daughter, Dorothy I. White
(1913-1996) who married Lester
Ward, Roy Chase and Mr. Lambert.

(2) On Oct. 7, 1916 Hilda married
Frank Benjamin Nave (Oct.15,1862-
Mar.26,1940) native of Indiana son of
Solomon J. Nave (1819-1907) and second
wife Lavina Sink (1844-1924).
Daughter of Martin and Lydia Green of
Orange Twp., Ionia County.
