Frederick Goppart, aged about 60 years, died at his home in West Virginia about midnight with cancer in the stomach. Goppart has been engaged in taking the garbage from this city to the West Virginia shore and is well known here. He was formerly a cooper in the employ of C. Metsch. He leaves four children, several of whom are married. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

The funeral of Frederick Goppart, who died Wednesday night, will take place from his late home just across the river at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The remains will be interred in Spring Grove cemetery.

Fred Goppert, for many years a familiar figure upon our streets, died at his home in Grant district at an early hour Thursday morning after a long siege of suffering from gangrene, aged sixty-three years. Funeral services will be held at the German Lutheran church on Sunday at noon and the remains interred in Spring Grove cemetery. Deceased was a member of the Turner society and an Oddfellow lodge in Allegheny, and had his life insured in two New York companies. He leaves a widow and three sons and a daughter, seven children having preceded him in death.

Quite a number of friends attended the funeral of the late Frederick Goppart, at the German Lutheran church at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Services were held at the late home of the deceased across the river, and later at the church, the remains being interred in Spring Grove cemetery.
