OBITUARY: *East Liverpool Tribune, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co. OH. Saturday, 10 Jul 1897.

Adam Goppert a well known resident of Chester, died Sunday Morning of brain fever, after an illness of several weeks. Deceased was aged twenty-six years and leaves a wife, his mother, two brothers, a sister, and a host of friends to mourn his untimely demise. Funeral services were conducted at the German Lutheran Church Tuesday Morning, and the remains were interred Spring Grove Cemetery.

Typhoid Fever

Ended the Life of Adam Goppert Last Sunday.

Adam Goppert died at an early hour Sunday morning at his home in Chester from an attack of Typhoid fever. Deceased was a stockholder in the Union pottery, and was well and favorably known in the city. A wife is left to mourn his loss. The funeral took place at 12:30 today and was largely attended. He was 25 years old.

Adam and his wife Kate Pfeifer had at least two children that died in their infancy. They had no children live past the first year.

Adam was killed due to brain injuries sustained from being thrown off a horse.

Goppert linage to Frederick George Goppert. German extraction. Bavaria, Germany.
