Oh, my Goodness, I am researching the Soldiers of the 27th MO. Mounted Inf. and William F. Beaman is one of the men I have the muster card for, the name did not click until I saw that I was the one to make the memorial for my ANCESTOR the father of Nancey E. Beaman-GREER the wife of EZEKIEL H. Greer...

Register for William F. Beaman age:73 MO.
LISTS 2 enlistments; Apr.1/61 Corp Co. C 45 MO.Inf

(this history does not mention him joining the 27th MO. Mounted Inf. Sept 23/61 until Nov. 25/61 but this is the very time that the Regiment was being disbanded for "lack of organization..." It appears that this time period can fit into the lapse of time between the 45th/50th)
Also on the form it gives "nearest of kin: daughter,
Mrs. Jane GREEN of Mo.
This proves daughter: Jane who married a Joseph Green (1900 census Carroll Co. Mo) just 78 miles from where the V.A Hospital "shipped his remains, Ionia MO."

According to Wm. Rogers "William Beaman died in National Military Home, Leavenworth, KS."

the rootsweb.com TREE--father, William BEAMAN B: 13 Aug. 1802 Rowan --mother as: Jane Eliabeth Standeford B: 20 DEC. 1810

William has (and so do I have a copy of muster card from the FOLD3 site) William F. BEAMAN's Civil War record
from civilwar.nps.gov
Wm. F. Beaman
Regiment name Capt. Burke's (Indpt.) Co.
Pettis MO H.G. (Home Guard)
The Home Guard was also called MO. Inf.
Side: UNION
Soldier's RANK: In- Pvt.

Also the muster card for the 27th MO. Mounted Inf. Co. H
same as my g-g-grampa, joined Otterville, Sept 23/61 as Pvt.

I wonder if William Beaman is any relation to the David W. Beaman who joined the same place/date, and served in the same Co.? Answered my question...

This looks like John Beaman age 60 NC and
William Beaman age 57 NC are brothers
William got here first and then big brother John moved in next door. And at least 2 of their sons joined the 27th ages 17/18. will have to search to see if the other sons John H. age 19 and Austin age 18 joined the Union as well.

The 1860 census matches the info I found on the rootsweb tree listed above giving father/mother..

OK< now I am confused--- looking for marriage record for Wm. F to Ellen Wright, like the death cert indicates and find a
MARRIAGE record for William F. BEAMAN
SPOUSE: Margaret E Standeford
DATE: 23 March 1863
PLACE: Pettis MO.
Citing this Record: "Missouri Marriages, 1750-1920," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V2DM-2Q6 : 6 December 2014), William F. Beaman and Margaret E. Standeford, 23 Jul 1863; citing Pettis,Missouri; FHL microfilm 947,352.

going by the 1880 census Margaret wife to Wm is 31 which means she was 14 when they married, but in tracing her it looks like her parents both died sometime between her 1st year 1850 census father, James Standeford/mother Susan and the 1860 census Margaret E was living with a single lady, Mary Standeford age 27 "farmer". and 3 other Standeford children 8-6-1 and then in 1870 Mary only has the boy age 12 that was listed in 1860. So I think that she married William young to be taken care of...

and he married a Margaret E. Standeford
??????? maybe a cousin to his mother?
Maybe Ellen is Margaret's middle name.
