Raleigh Hale Allen, 63, 17351 N. Kennison Lane, died in a Lodi hospital early Friday morning following a sudden illness.
Born in Paris, Texas, he lived in the Winters, Texas area until he moved to California in 1942. He married Marveline Parkerson in Winters in 1938. After moving to California they lived in Burbank where he was employed by the Lockheed Aircraft Corp. and then transferred back to Texas for a short time before moving back to Coalinga where they lived for 20 years. They moved to Lodi in 1969 and he was employed by Lodi Memorial Hospital for a short time before he retired in 1970. He was a plumbing contractor and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalinga.
In addition to his wife, Marvelen Allen of Lodi, he is survived by three sons; three daughters; three brothers, Jack Bishop of Winters, Texas, H.F Allen of Sumrna, Ga. and Woodrow Allen of Plainview, Texas; three sisters, Jane Gay of Lakeland, Fla., Ruth McElrath of Page, Ariz. and Lucille Nickell of San Antonio, Tex.; and 12 grandchildren.
