She was born in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Mabel Van Dorn Harnish.
Frances retired from Food Service at Franklin & Marshall College.
She was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ, Lancaster.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband: William C. Bitner, Sr.; her daughter: Patricia Bitner; her sisters; and, her brother.
Surviving are her daughter: Terry L. wife of Craig Hunt of Lancaster; her sons: William C. Bitner, Jr. companion of Dale D. Hauck, Sr. of Cleona, Donald K. Bitner of Cleona; and Michael E. husband of Carol Bitner of Lancaster; her three grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her sister: Peggy Adams of Arnold; and, her brother: Robert Jackson of New Kensington.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
