Mrs. Hammerle Dies at Age 67

Mrs. Willa Hammerle, 67, of 306 State Ave., died at 7:45 a.m. today at the Bethel Convalescent Home, where she had been a patient for about a week.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas P. Oyan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the Hansen Funeral Home beginning Friday afternoon and until the time of services.
Mrs. Hammerle, nee Willa Herreid, was born Nov. 28, 1892, in Preston, Trempealeau County, and lived there during her childhood. She worked in Minneapolis as a young woman, coming to Marshfield in 1929. She had lived here since that time. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Rebecahs.
Survivors include two sons, Donald, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Wallace, Marshfield. Also surviving are five sisters, Miss Grace Herreid, Miss Emma Herreid (both of Ettrick); Mrs. William (Blanche) Johnson, Houston, Minn.; Mrs. Joseph (Rachel) Olson, Wild Rose; Mrs. Martin (Bernice) Anderson, Blair; and four brothers, Carl, Gordon, Leo and Richard Herreid, all of Ettrick. Several sisters preceded her in death. One granddaughter also survives.
