Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Rehling Kraulik, 88, of Maddock were held in the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock with Rev's. Dale Seffrood and Duane Neugebauer, officiating. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery in Oberon. She died Monday, October 15, 1979, in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Rugby where she had been a patient for several weeks.
Casket bearers were Craig Djoseland, Dale Neil, Darrell Olson, Lonny Djoseland, Joe Rehling and Larry Pederson. Mrs. Dean Erickson was organist for services. James Swanson provided the special music. The Wheeler Funeral Home of Maddock was in charge of arrangements.
Mamie Harrington was born September 28, 1891, the daughter of C.W. and Elizabeth Harrington near Flora. She moved west with her parents at a very young girl and then returned to Flora where she attended public schools. She married Joseph Rehling in Flora in December of 1906.
The couple lived in Flora while Mr. Rehling worked and farmed near Flora until 1924 when they moved to a farm near Josephine. Mr. Rehling died on April 7, 1941. In 1945, Mrs. Rehling moved to Tacoma, Washington. She was married to Adolph Kraulik in Washington.
They lived for a time in Washington, then moved to Valley City, and then returned to Washington where Mr. Kraulik died in 1959. Mrs. Kraulik continued to reside in Washington until the mid 1960's when she returned to Maddock where she has resided since.
She was a member of the Flora Ladies Aid; was a Sunday School teacher in Flora; and a member of the Flora Homemakers.
Surviving are three sons, Fred Rehling of Maddock, Doran Rehling of Tacoma, Wash., and Donald Rehling of Lisbon; four daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Lila) Heitz of Valley City, Mrs. Jack (Vivian) Wilson of Myrtle Point, Ore., Mrs. Jim (Martha) Condos and Mrs. Dorothy Hakanson, both of Tacoma; one brother, Charles W. Harrington of Bonners Ferry, Idaha; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ethel Berg of Seattle, Wash. and Mrs. Eugene (Beulah) Burgess of Vancouver, Wash.; one half-brother, Harley Anderson of Esmond; 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her husbands were her parents; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; a son, Joseph; two daughters, Elsie and Ruby; one sister and three half-brothers.
