LOCATION: Hugo, Oklahoma

John F. Heath was born November 30, 1918 to John Q. Heath and Isabel Charlson Heath in Ninnekah, Oklahoma and lived most of his life in Hugo and Speer OK area. John departed from this life on March 4, 2014 at the age of 95 years.
John is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cecelia "Cindy" Heath; Brothers George Heath, Arnold Heath, A.J. Heath; and sisters Anna Erwin, Marie "Dink" Bobo and Cora Derriso.
He is survived by one brother David Heath of California and one special niece who became his caregiver Judith "Rocky" Davidson and husband David of the home, along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In his lifetime he enjoyed raising dogs-the Chow breed; later raising a few cows, but he enjoyed his time the most with his faithful companion, his dog "Charlie". He also enjoyed visiting with family and friends telling stories of his life growing up with his siblings. John told many stories of life while serving in the Army, working in the oil fields, working pipeline, and working construction on waterlines which brought him to Hugo in early 70s where he met his beloved wife, Cindy. His most proud stories that he shared were of his service in the Army. He was part of the 101st Airborne, also known to him as the "Screaming Eagles". He served in theaters in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Normandy and Africa.
John was decorated with a Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, American Service Ribbon, EAMER Service Ribbon, Four Bronze Service Stars, One Bronze Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal, and Distinguished Unit Badge.
John was a very loving and proud uncle.
