Martha, as well as her parents and siblings, were all born in Iowa. However, during the 1900 Census, the family was living in Belfast Township, Murray County, Minnesota. Martha's father was a farmer.
On December 12, 1096, Martha married Curtis Christopher Baker. The wedding took place in Linn County, Missouri. The couple had four children: Ethel M, born in about 1908; Virgil G., born in about 1909; Francis H., born in 1916; and Delbert, born in about 1922. All of the children were born in Linn County, Missouri.
In the Federal Census records from 1910-1930, the Baker family was living outside of Brookfield, in Linn County. The 1930 Census lists the value of their farm at $17,000.
Martha passed away in 1975.
