Funeral services for Solomon Augustus Lenfest, one of the most prominent members of H. M Warren Post 12, G. A. R., and chaplain of the Middlesex County G. A. R. Association, were held i the Baptist Church vestry at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. Harvey J. Moore, pastor, officiated and Mrs. Pauline Smith Mansfield sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Sometime We'll Understand". Miss Isabel M. Elliot presided at the piano. The G. A. R. ritual was conducted by members of Post 12, of whom there were four present, and was led by Commander John F. Shea. The following deacons of the church acted as bearers: William E. Mansfield, Percival B. Evans, Arthur L. Evans, C. W. Spear, Joseph B. Snyder, and Henry W. Jackson. About seventy relatives and friends attended the services and the flowers were particularly beautiful, there being about twenty-five separate offerings.
The body was placed in the receiving vault at Lakeside Cemetery and arrangements were in charge of Undertaker Clarence A. Gould.
