John Peter Hinkle, Sr.
HELENA, MT. --- John Peter Hinkle Sr., 91 of Helena formerly of Billings, MT., died Tuesday July 18, 1995, at Big Sky Care Center in Helena, MT., where he had been a resident the past two years.
He was born June 5, 1904, in New Nordka, Russia, the son of George and Kathryn Krieger Hinkle.
He came to the United States in 1906.
On Nove. 17, 1923, he married Anna Frances Feiner in Sidney, MT.
They lived in the Siney - Savage area until moving to Billings, MT., in 1929.
In Billings Mr. Hinkle worked for a Great Western Sugar Co. and as a carpenter and bartender.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include five children, Alice (Albert) Sievert, John (Hazel) of Billings, MT. Frances (Mike) Hutzenbiler of Billings, MT., Dorothy (Edward) Fultz of Hemet, CA., and George (Linda) of Billings, MT, a brother George Hinkle of Shepherd, MT., a sister Esther Chidley of Billings, MT. 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna in 1983 and a daughter Elizabeth Hutzenbiler.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday July 21, at Smith West Chapel, Billings, MT.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings, MT.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
