Ferrell Sampson
Ferrell Sampson, 87, of Grantsville, died Sunday, December 2, 1990, at home after a long illness.
He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Preston and Elizabeth Carpenter Sampson. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Leon Sampson of Grantsville; six daughters, Bernice Sampson, Rose Husk, Jean Plant and Katherine Baker, all of Grantsville, Ullinee Falb and Ettalean Kerby, both of Mt. Zion; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Sampson, in 1982; three sons, three daughters, four sisters and two brothers.
Services were held Wednesday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Glendon McKee officiating. Burial was in the Gibson Cemetery near Arnoldsburg.
