Wife of Leo George Eastman
Donna Elizabeth Allred Eastman, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Feb. 18, 2014 at the age of 87, due to a long term heart ailment.Donna began her earthly journey on Nov. 20, 1926. Born to Joseph Parley and Venetta Allred. She grew up on the family farm in Bluffdale as the oldest of 5 children.She was a member of the LDS church. Donna graduated from Jordan High School.Donna met and later married Lee Eastman on April 26, 1947, he preceded her in death. Together they had 10 children who survive her; Bryce (Trisha), Clayton, Janet, Dianne, JoLayne, Margo, Scott, Rick (Karen) and Bryant Eastman and Penny (Herb) Edwards.She will be long remembered as a peacemaker. Thoughout her life she enjoyed baking and gardening. Flowers brought her a lot of pleasure. She always loved music.Donna spent her last few years at Country Care Assisted Living in Sandy, Utah where she enjoyed working on her word search puzzle books. Donna's family will be forever grateful to Barbara Wright and the staff for their kind and gentle care. Thanks to Dignity Home Health & Hospice. A very special thanks to her nurse Barbara Diamond for her selfless efforts to comfort Donna and her family during Donna's final journey.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Herriman LDS Church 13100 So. 6000 W. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and 1 hour prior at the church. Interment Herriman City Cemetery. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com
