David Mitchell, s. of James Mitchell and his 1st wife Mabel Buck, b. of record Dec. 28, 1738 at Wethersfield, Conn. He d. of record June 9, 1800 at South Hadley, Mass. (VRs. & g.s.)

On June 11, 1761 of record at Wethersfield, Conn. David m. Mary Wolcott, dau. of Samuel Wolcott and Mary Wyatt, b. of record Apr. 18, 1741 at Wethersfield. She d. of record Oct. 10, 1802 at South Hadley, Mass. (VRs. & g.s.) They had the following four known children all recorded at Wethersfield, Conn. While there may have been others, their identity cannot be found in any other known New England vital or church baptism record:

• i. Mary Mitchell, b. Mar. 18, 1762, d. June 25, 1790 at Hanover, NH (g.s.); m. before 1780 at an unrecorded place, Jabez Bingham 3rd, s. Joseph Bingham, Jr. and Mary Wheelock, b. Feb. 13, 1748/9 at Windham, Conn. He d. Sep. 5, 1804 (g.s.) Four recorded children of the family.

• ii. Mabel Mitchell, b. May 8, 1764, d. Feb. 2, 1840 at South Hadley, Mass. (VRs. & g.s.); m. Nov. 22, 1787 at South Hadley, Dea. Joseph White, Jr., b. Mar. 10, 1761 at South Hadley where he d. Feb. 26, 1829 (VRs. & g.s.) Eleven children of the family.

• iii. An unnamed son, who d. and was buried at Wethersfield Feb. 1, 1772 (Weth. Ch. Rec.)

• iv. James Mitchell, b. Nov. 21, 1772; no further record found.
