In Memory of Mr. James Mitchell, who Departed this life Feb'y XIth AD. 1776. In the 71st Year of his age. He was born in the Kingdom of Scotland near the City of Glasgow.
Then followed in sequence individual inscriptions for his 3rd, 1st and 2nd wives.
On the day James died he was 70 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of his Age) 71, indicating he was b. AFTER Feb. 11, 1704/5.
