Marvin Lee Evans, 75, of Ash, NC, died Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. Born in Ash, NC on July 11, 1938, he was a son of the late Ezekial A. and Elneta Register Evans. He was a retired project supervisor in the commercial construction business and worked across the southeast, and was also a farmer. Marvin was raised in and around Myrtle Head Baptist Church where he attended most of his life. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Lucy R. Evans of Ash; two sons, Gregory L. Evans of Ash, M. Lance Evans of Ash; three sisters, Mabel Evans Mooney of Bolivia, Carolyn Evans and Marie Milliken both of Thomasville, NC; a sister-in-law, Frances Evans of Ash; five grandsons, Mason, Zeke, Jordan, Nicholas and Jackson Evans; a granddaughter, Natalie Evans and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2014 in the Myrtle Head Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Head Cemetery.
