Arnold H. Struop, 57, of Hollyoaks, Wilmington, Del., died Tuesday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Ilsmire. He had been ill the past six months.
Born in Warren, Pa., he was a son of George O. Stroup, this city, and the late Gracie (Stahlman) Stroup.
A former resident of this city, Mr. Stroup was a veteran of World War II and was a German prisoner of war.
Surviving besides his father are his widow, Margaret Stroup, one son, Arnold Stroup, Jr., Baltimore; one daughter, Miss Dorothy Stroup, Baltimore; four brothres, Otis, Glenn and Richard Stroup, all of Baltimore; Ira Stroup, Franconia, N.H.; three sisters, Mrs. Urner Carl, LaVale; Mrs. Raynond Easton, this city; Mrs. William Stewart, Keyser; three step-children and four grandchildren.
The body is at the J.C. Connelly and Son Funeral Home, Baltimore, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there Friday at 1 p.m. and interment will be in Baltimore.
