MICHIGAN Funeral services for Jack Douglas Loftis, 73, of Eastpointe, Mich., formerly of the Double Springs Community of Putnam County, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, from the chapel of Clyne & Sobocinski Funeral
Home, 22121 Kelly Rd., Eastpointe, Mich. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Mich.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home.
Mr. Loftis died on Sunday, January 20, 2002, at BiCounty
Hospital in Warren, Michigan.
He was born on November 10, 1928, in Double Springs Community to the late Milton Otis and Essie Avo Jernigan Loftis. He served as an Elder of the Northeast Church of Christ in Eastpointe for 20 years and was a board member of the Church of Christ Care Center. He was a retired spline grinder with Invo Spline and Eagle Spline Co.
His family includes his wife of 50 years, Joyce Burns Loftis; three sons and two daughtersinlaw, Gary and Vicki Loftis, Dale Loftis and Jeffrey and Kathleen Loftis; a sister, Audrey Burton Wallace; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Loftis; and a sister, Geraldine Denny.
