She was born June 1, 1925 in Quincy, IL a daughter of Edward and Margaret Smith Bronestine. She married Russell Leo Pindell February 25, 1925, in LaGrange, Missouri. He died May 11, 2006.
Wanda was a homemaker and enjoyed genealogy, bible devotions and studies .
She was a member of the South Union Baptist Church, Maywood, MO, and Rohs Baptist Women's Missionary Union. She taught Sunday School for over thirty years.
Survivors include one son, David Pindell (Sunye) of Moberly: five daughters, Sharon Bode (Darryl) of Palmyra, Gail Dietrich (Ronald) of Maywood, Connie Scott (Greg) of Quincy, IL, Nancy Pindell of Taylor, and Janice Allman (Doug) of Alpharetta, Ga; two sisters, Norma Trumblee of Canton, and Doris Lay of Canton; one brother Verne Bronestine (Betty) of Quincy; grandsons Ronald Dietrich Jr. of Maywood, Lucas Dietrich serving in the Air Force in Germany (Currene), Andy Pindell (Kelli) of Clark, MO, Joseph Pindell of St. Louis, Russell Scott of Cincinnati, Chad Scott (Erica) of Quincy, and Matthew Allman of Alpharetta; granddaughters, Lorri Bode of Troy, Melinda Grenz (Greyson) of Sedalia, MO and Jennifer Allman of Alpharetta; great grandsons, Bryson Pindell of Columbia, Langdon Pindell of Clark, Gideon ,. Nathanael, and Micah Grenz of Sedalia, MO and Jaxon Scott of Quincy; great granddaughters Amelia Grenz of Sedalis, MO and Sydney Dietrich of Stuttgart, Germany; step great grandsons Cameron and Ryan Craig of Clark and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Sandra Sue Pindell; and a granddaughter, Sharryl Lynn Bode.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at South Union Baptist Church in Maywood, MO with Rev. Jeremy Wallace officiating. Burial will be in East Midway Cemetery near LaGrange, Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, MO.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, East Midway Cemetery, or South Union Baptist Church.
