Mary 'Francis' Francis, age 85, of Nixa, MO, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at Nixa Nursing & Rehab. She was born November 17, 1929, in Thomasville, MO, to Fred and Anna (Francis) Rose.
She was united in marriage to Roy 'R.C.' Francis on April 9, 1951 at Salem, AR.
Mary enjoyed, crocheting, quilting, and going on long drives, her life was dedicated to taking care of her children. She always put taking care of everyone else before taking care of herself.
She worked several years as a cook in the Springfield School district.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Rose; three children, Loy Ivan Francis, Dan Roy Francis and Dena Ren Francis; two brothers, Gilbert and an infant brother; two sisters, Lela (Rose) Floyd and Hazel (Rose) Griffith.
She is survived by her husband, Roy 'R.C.' Francis of Mount Vernon, MO; one brother, Chester Rose of Independence, MO; special friend and caregiver, Bryan Totter and wife Dani of Clever, MO; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
