Mrs. Verda Welcomer Leonard, wife of Mr. Harry Leonard, of near Donnally's Mills, died in a Harrisburg Hospital Thursday night of last week, of a complication of heart and kidney trouble. She was 32 years old. She had not been in good health for a year.
Mrs. Leonard was a daughter of Mrs. Ada Welcomer, of this place. Her father, the late Harry Welcomer, died some years ago. She is survived by her mother, husband and five children, the youngest only a year old; also by several half-brothers.
Mrs. Leonard is remembered here as a bright, vivacious girl and her many friends were shocked and grieved to learn of her death. To her mother and family the sympathy of all is extended.
Funeral services were held in the Evangelical Church at Donnally's Mills on Sunday and burial was in Bloomfield cemetery.
