Bennettsville - Services for Mr. A. Ryan Bozard, 87, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Marlboro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 123, or Helping Hands Hospice, P.O. Box 474, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Bozard died Saturday. Born in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late William Cleveland and Theodosia Arthur Bozard. He was a retired line superintendent with Marlboro Electric Co-Op and was a member of Bruton's Fork Baptist Church. He was a member and Past Master of Marlboro Masonic Lodge #88 A.F.M. and Past District Deputy Grandmaster of the 25th Masonic District. He was a founding member of the Marlboro County Rescue Squad. Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Ruby C. Bozard, of Bennettsville; a daughter, Peggy Mackey, (Carl), of Bennettsville; sons, Dennis Bozard, (Joyce), of Bennettsville, Roger Bozard, (LuAnne), of Dillon; sister, Carolie Faver; grandchildren, Marie Mackey, Ryan Mackey, (Angie), of Bennettsville, Eric Bozard, (Treacy), of Cheraw, Robert Bozard, (Angel), of Walterboro, Adam Bozard and Elizabeth Bozard, of Dillon, and great-grandchildren, Paul, Elise, and Ryan Bozard, of Walterboro. © The State, Columbia, SC, 23 May 2005
