Mrs. Carrie Myers Byerley, 67, of 208 Knox Ave., died at 2:30 a.m. July 26, 1976 in the Jameson Memorial Hospital after an illness.

She was born in Princeton, PA on Nov. 30, 1908 to Mrs Anna Hobel Myers Stewart and the late Howard Myers. She was a former employee of the Shenango China Division of Interpace, Inc.

Mrs. Byerley was a member of Washington Union Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Amos Hartzell, in 1948.

She is survived by her second husband, Grover Byerley, whom she married in October of 1968; a son, Howard Hartzell of Zelienople; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Delores) Robb of New Castle; her mother, Mrs. Anna Stewart of New Castle; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Ann) Hartzell and Mrs. Lyle (Rebecca) Marsh, both of New Castle; a brother, Herbert Myers of New Castle; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Friends will be received at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Malvin E. Dolby of the church, assisted by the Rev. M.E. Nicholson of First Alliance Church. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
