ABBOTT, Dale Passed away July 23, 2013 in Davenport, WA.

He was born on September 12, 1922 in Harrington, WA to Walter and Emily (Marshall) Abbott. He attended school in Harrington and is a 1940 graduate.

He later married Hazel Johnson and made their home in Davenport, WA.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing cards, and had coached little league. Dale and Hazel were snowbirds for several years and he also built his current home himself.

He is survived by his wife Hazel Abbott at the home a daughter, Emily Diane Kovar (husband Duane) and a son Cary Abbott. Grandchildren, Bryce Kovar, Vincent Kovar, Brian Johnson, Clint and Dale Johnson and Bethany Abbott. Two Brothers Glen Abbott and Gerald "LeRoy" and Anita Abbott, and one sister, June Etter along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Emily Abbott, one daughter, Juliane Johnson, one brother, Leonard Abbott, a brother-in-law, Eugene Etter and sister-in-law Ginger Abbott. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a former Charter member of Davenport Lions Club, Davenport Gun Club and Harrington Golf and Country Club. Memorial Service, Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Davenport, WA with Pastor Jim Stern, officiating.
