Mr. Bierbaum, 89, of Eyota, MN died Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2014 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN.
Harold Albert Bierbaum was born September 11, 1924 in Olmsted County, MN to Albert and Cora (Schellhammer) Bierbaum. He attended rural Olmsted County School. On October 15, 1960 he married Joyce Sabatke at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester; she died May 9, 2006.
Harold was a lifetime farmer in the Eyota area. He especially loved spending time with his grandsons, and gardening. Harold was a thinker and planner when building and loved to work with oak lumber. They moved into their retirement home on their farm in 1986. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Eyota.
Harold is survived by one son, Leslie (Teresa) Bierbaum of Eyota; two grandchildren, Benjamin (Hannah) Bierbaum of Osseo, and Gregory Bierbaum of Eyota; one brother, Loren Bierbaum of Eyota; and two sisters-in-law, Clarice Bierbaum of Rochester and Willa Bierbaum of Eyota. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, and two brothers.
Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, January 25th, at the Church.
